Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven E-Commerce Specialist & Web Designer with a strong background in e-commerce, digital marketing, and web design. This role will enhance Buckler Systems’ online presence, drive digital sales, and manage our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will combine technical web design expertise with marketing strategies to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update the e-commerce platform, including product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Ensure the website is functional, secure, and optimized for performance and speed.
- Design and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize website themes and templates for brand consistency and optimization.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Work with third-party developers or agencies when necessary to enhance website capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot website issues, ensuring quick resolutions.
- Troubleshoot host related problems.
- Integrate and troubleshoot payment API providers like Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch etc.
- Design intuitive navigation and layout to enhance customer experience.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to inform design improvements.
- Focus on accessibility and usability best practices.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and implement digital campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Optimize landing pages and funnels to improve conversion rates.
- Implement SEO strategies, ensuring website content is search-engine optimized.
- Manage paid search campaigns, email marketing, and social media advertising.
- Track, analyze, and report on digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics.
- Monitor customer feedback and reviews to refine website functionality and content.
- Ensure a smooth purchasing process, from browsing to checkout.
- Analyze site performance metrics and user behavior to identify areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on website traffic, sales, and other key metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in e-commerce management and web design.
- Expertise in web design tools and languages, including:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WordPress.
- Graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Sketch)
- Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, and digital marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive, defense, or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with global shipping regulations and logistics.
